The MS Plus Camino Trek 2025

Please help me to Do It For MS! Darryl's Challenge

Hi, if you are reading this you have reached my donation web page. I have decided to accept the challenge of walking the last 111 kms of the Camino Trail or the Way of St James pilgrims walk, ending Santiago de Compostela Spain in May 2025 for the MS society.

I have named this challenge “Darryl’s challenge” (in joke).

This opportunity has come along for me to travel again in a secure environment whilst supporting MS. This walk is something I have been interested in for some time.

Part of doing this tour is I have to raise a minimum $3000 for MS.

As I now have neurological issues myself, I understand some of what MS suffers deal with to a degree. I personally know of 3 people who suffer this condition from mild to severe. So this is a very good cause.

Walking as you all know has been my main form of exercise over the last 7 years, so I am hoping that the 111 kms over 5 days is achievable with a fair amount of training between now & May. The average walking day is 22kms

None of the fundraising money is for my personal travel expenses.

I know everyone’s circumstances are different and in an ideal world I would like to try to get over the target of $3000 by having everyone contribute $100.00 if possible.

However, as I said I know everyone’s circumstances are different, so any contribution is very welcome.

My getting to and possibly exceeding the fund-raising goal would be great.

I hope that I will be able to complete the walk which means a lot to me personally.

Any contribution will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and Regards

Daniel

I'm fundraising to ensure that no one has to face multiple sclerosis alone.

MS is the most common disease of the central nervous system - currently there is no cure.

It's quite staggering to think that multiple sclerosis affects more young people than any other neurological condition, with the average age of diagnosis just 30 years old. Every case of multiple sclerosis is unique - the symptoms, severity and progress of the disease are different for everyone.

You can ensure Aussies living with multiple sclerosis can break down barriers, achieve goals and live well by making a secure online donation.

Thank you for your support.
